Autism Consortium
Consultation
Systemic support is provided on an individual student, classroom, school, or district –wide basis. Consultation includes program evaluation, program design, and curriculum development across age and severity levels. Mentoring of professional staff members by Autism Consortium consultants also may be arranged. Leadership development for autism specialists is provided to support the development of system-wide infrastructures. Examples of consultation services include the following:
To School Systems and Agencies
- evaluation of a school district’s or agency’s program for individuals with autism
- development of an infrastructure to meet the needs of individual students and classes
- creation of a professional development plan to provide a variety of training activities for all staff members providing services to individuals with autism

- development of teacher leaders
- creation of range of program delivery options for students with autism across ages and severity levels
