Licenia Rojas

Senior Vice President and Unit CIO, Global Services Group Technology

As Senior Vice President and Unit CIO for the Global Services Group, Licenia has global responsibility for
the technology vision, strategy and delivery of platforms that enable the best customer and colleague
experience at American Express. This includes all global servicing functions, including customer service,
credit/collections, card issuance, procurement and real estate.

Licenia has held multiple key leadership roles throughout her 21 years with Amex, driving significant
innovation and outstanding results for customers, colleagues and shareholders. She previously served as
Senior Vice President of information management and digital partnerships within the Technology group,
leading enterprise-wide data and digital capabilities at Amex, including big data, blockchain, digital
payments and partnerships. Licenia also led the global Unit CIO teams for Marketing, Information
Management, Enterprise Digital, and Global Advertising & Brand Management.

Licenia co-leads the company’s global Hispanic Origin and Latin American (HOLA) employee network.
She is also an active member of the American Express Executive Women’s Interest Network (WIN) and
the American Express Women in Technology (WIT) network. Licenia is the senior technology leader for
American Express in South Florida and a member of the South Florida senior leadership team, which
spans all business units operating in the region. Licenia is a board member of Year Up South Florida, an
organization that serves young adults in closing the opportunity divide by ensuring they gain the skills,
experiences, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through careers and higher
education.

Licenia holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Barry University (Miami
Shores, Florida). She and her husband, Tony, live in Davie, Florida with their three children.
