Teresa Grandal Cusse (aka Terry) serves as the Assistant Executive Director of Administration and Operations of the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation. In her role, she oversees the execution of the Levan Center’s business model, organizational structure, financials, and day-to-day operations. She has led the design of the operational strategies, policies, and procedures, and leads the onboarding process of new team members. She is spearheading the cybersecurity initiative, which includes a cyber range as well as the implementation of training around emerging technologies.

Prior to this role, Terry served as Director of Resource Development at Miami Dade College, one of the largest and highest producing community college grant offices in the country, generating an average of $30 million annually.

Terry has over 15 years of experience developing and writing federal, state, local government, and private foundation grants, with over $40+ million in submitted proposals resulting in $25+ million in awarded projects. Additionally, she has experience in managing grant-funded projects and serving as a peer reviewer for various funding agencies.

As a skilled presenter and speaker, Terry has provided training workshops on a variety of topics including budget development and management, grant management, grant writing, improving sales skills, building relationships, and more.

Terry has worked in in the areas of administration and operations within a variety of industries which include software development, sales, ATM and credit card processing, law enforcement, local government, K-12, non-profit organizations, and higher education. She has been a part of several small business startups in various capacities and enjoys the energy of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Terry has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Florida International University (Miami, FL) and a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
