Joseph Hovancak

With over 15 years of experience in strategic development and community engagement, Joseph Hovancak most recently spearheaded the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance’s Prosperity Partnership initiative. What started as a community-wide strategic plan, the initiative evolved into a collective impact venture that helped grow businesses and create better quality of life for everyone in Broward County.

Mr. Hovancak is well-versed when it comes to business development, investor relations, fundraising, community partnerships and board engagement. In addition to his experience with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Business Alliance, Hovancak also previously served as the Senior Vice President of Development and Community Engagement for the Miami-Dade Beacon
Council. He has been an active volunteer with both the Levan Center of Innovation and Nova Southeastern University and has previously served on the boards of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Hovancak currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
