Accessing
the Library Web Site
In order to access the Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information
Technology Center Web site from a remote location, you will need:
- Computer
- Dial-up, DSL or cable modem.
- Access to the Internet through any Internet Service Provider such
as AT&T WorldNet, AOL, CompuServe, etc.
- Web browser. See Toolbox
to download compatible browsers.
- Adobe Reader (to view full-text pdf documents). See Toolbox
to download latest version.
- NSU ID number or NSU library card number:
- NSU students, faculty and staff will need their NSU ID number.
(About the NSU ID number...)
- Broward County residents will need an NSU library card. Their
NSU library card number will be on the back of the NSU
library card. Please note: a Broward County Library account/card
will NOT work.
Once you have accessed the Internet and opened your browser, simply
type in the NSU Libraries Web address in the URL/Location/Netsite bar
as shown below.
The Web address is: http://www.nova.edu/library

The NSU Libraries site includes links to each
of the NSU Libraries. HPD and Law faculty and students should use
their own library Web sites. All other faculty, students and Broward
public patrons should click on the link for the Alvin Sherman Library,
Research and Information Technology Center.
At the Alvin Sherman Library home page, you can select the area
of the site you wish to view by placing your cursor over the navigation
bar options. Drop-down menus for each option allow you to hone in
on your choice to link directly to what you need.
For further assistance navigating the library Website, please contact
the Reference Desk.
