OUR STUDENTS | $250,000 The college aims to reduce the nationwide nursing workforce shortage and better prepare advanced-practice nurses by increasing enrollment in all of our nursing programs. With donor support, the college can offer scholarships to qualified full-time students in good academic standing who can demonstrate financial need. Opportunities include: • Scholarships • Situational assistance funds • Student participation in conferences • Community outreach projects 21st CENTURY EDUCATION | $250,000 Offering 21st Century education in nursing means providing our students—including distance-learning students—with meaningful experiential learning opportunities. With donor support, the college can offer state-of-the-art simulation experiences that prepare students for real-life patient encounters, and provide enhanced distance-learning resources to students who otherwise would be unable to attend NSU classes and reach their academic goals. Opportunities include: • Renovation of simulation labs at four campuses • Expand and enhance classrooms and technology OUR FACULTY | $100,000 Nursing faculty members are the heart of our nursing programs. The mentorship they provide to the next generation of health care providers is essential to the success of our nursing graduates. With donor support, the college can ensure we recruit and retain a dedicated nursing faculty prepared to support our expanding specialization programs on all campuses. By fostering faculty research and professional development, NSU can further contribute to the dissemination of important findings that will advance nursing knowledge and practice.
