College of Nursing Campaign Priorities

POTENTIAL IS REALIZED HERE The United States is moving toward a health care system that emphasizes cost and efficiency. Nurses will play a valued and essential role in this effort. In addition, by 2020, the U.S is predicting a significant shortage of nurses—needing more than 500,000 new nurses and 500,000 replacement R.N.s. NSU’s College of Nursing graduates will help fill the workforce gaps. Our students are being prepared to function effectively in the changing health system and to deliver high quality, cost effective, and patient-focused care. Our faculty is committed to preparing outstanding and exceptional nurses. Faculty members are supported in their fields of research and educational pursuits, contributing to the high reputation of our nursing programs. Nurses graduating from the college are confident and competent when entering the workforce. The care provided across their careers will change the lives of the countless patients they touch.
