Congratulations
Nova Southeastern University looks forward to welcoming families and
friends to the 2014 Commencement ceremonies that recognize and
celebrate the academic achievements and lasting contributions that our
students have made to the university.
ATTENDANCE & ELIGIBILITY
Candidates who were not invited to last year’s ceremony and have achieved degree
conferral since last year’s commencement exercises and prior to this year’s ceremony
dates are automatically invited to participate. Each
d
etermines its
participation requirements. When in doubt, check with your program office or visit its
commencement Web site for clarification on the requirements that must be met in order
to be invited.
COMMENCEMENT LIVE STREAMING
NSU Commencement ceremonies will be video streamed in real time. This is a free service
provided by the university, for families and friends of graduates who are unable to attend
the ceremony in person. Anyone interested in viewing commencement must pre-register
as streaming seats are limited. Visit the official

DOOR OPENINGS, SEATING, & TICKETS
The doors open
one hour
prior to the published start time of the ceremony. Tickets are
not required and seating is open on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend that
large groups of guests who wish to sit together arrive early because the saving of seats is
not permitted.
SPECIAL NEEDS
We encourage
candidates
who need disability accommodations to notify the Office of
Student Disability Services at (954) 262-7185 at least two weeks in advance of the event.
The Arena at the Don Taft University Center provides handicap accessible parking spaces
located on each level of the public parking garage. Patrons using wheelchairs can enter
and exit the building through both the North and East Lobbies. There is an elevator
located directly across from the box office for convenient access to the arena
entrance. All accessible seating is located on the second floor of the arena.
DIPLOMAS
At commencement, candidates receive a certificate of congratulations when they are
called to the stage and recognized. To make sure you receive an official diploma, go online
