Genealogy

Identifying a King: Richard III, DNA and Genealogy. GSBC Program
Sunday, June 7: 12:00 PM -4:00 PM


Nora Quinlan, Director of Reference and Instructional Library Services at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library, will talk on how researchers at the University of Leicester, using DNA and genealogy, identified a skeleton found at an archeological dig in Leicester, England in 2012, as Richard III, King of England.

This talk will be from 2:00-3:00 pm.

The Genealogical Society of Broward County meets monthly at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library on the first Sunday of every month. Meetings begin with an open lab from noon to 2 PM followed by a board meeting and program. Meetings are open to the public.
