The use of electronic devices for gaming, gambling, or fantasy sports teams is prohibited during the school day or during any school-sponsored events and activities. Students who abuse this policy will be assigned an appropriate consequence by the administration. CELLULAR PHONES AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES All students, particularly in grades 6-12 are required to have an electronic device capable of accessing the internet during specific times. Laptops or tablets are encouraged. Cellular phones may not be used during class time for non-instructional purposes. Teachers may confiscate cellular phones when used inappropriately during the school day and may require the student’s parent/guardian to pick up the confiscated phone from the school office. Students may also face disciplinary action for misuse of cell phones during class. The school is not responsible for lost or missing cellular phones, cameras or other electronic devices. During carpool, travel lanes are deemed a “no cell phone zone”. We ask parents to put away cell phones for safety reasons. In addition, parents should silence cell phones while in the building and refrain from using phones for video or picture taking in school and during school-related events.
