Nova Southeastern University | 9 For Nonnative English Speakers Applicants whose native language is not English are required to demonstrate English proficiency. The standardized tests listed below satisfy the university’s English require- ment for nonnative English speakers. • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum score of 213 on the computer-based or 79–80 on the Internet-based test • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum score of 6.0 on the test module • Pearson Test of English—Academic: minimum score of 54 • American College Test (ACT): a score of at least 20 on the verbal section Test results must be sent directly from the testing agency to NSU’s Enrollment Process- ing Services (EPS). Proof of English language competency can also be in the form of a degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university. For International Students International students must present verification of student visa or residency status. Due to the limited availability of ASHA-certified supervisors, students who live outside of the United States will not be eligible for admission to the M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology program for online delivery. Furthermore, students accepted to the program may not relocate outside of the United States before completing the degree.
