2022 NSU Fact Book

6 NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY Dear Friends of NSU, Since 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for the world and for Nova Southeastern University. As the world adapted to this crisis, so did we—positively! Thanks to our safety protocols, physical and environmental modifications, and vaccination reporting tools, we were able to resume traditional, in-person classroom learning for the fall 2021 semester. Although new COVID-19 variants have required further adaptation, I am pleased to see that all our students and faculty and staff members are doing their part to protect our Shark community. The pandemic has not stopped new students from coming to NSU. In fall 2021, the university welcomed 2,000 incoming undergraduate students, nearly matching our all-time record for new undergraduate students from 2020. These numbers show that our next generation of doctors, nurses, engineers, business leaders, psychologists, lawyers, educators, artists, and more, all want to start their careers with an exceptional NSU education. Our achievements have not gone unnoticed. NSU has continued to advance upward in the college rankings compiled by U.S. News & World Report. The more we all achieve, the more the world will come to recognize that NSU is growing into a preeminent institution that gives students the edge they need to be successful in their careers. The NSU Shark family has accomplished much in the last year, but there is so much more ahead of us. Sharks always keep swimming forward! Fins Up! George L.
