132 NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY University Personnel Nova Southeastern University’s educational mission is carried out by a mix of highly qualified and dedicated educators comprising full-time faculty members, adjunct professors, and employees earning supple- mental contract income as needed. At NSU, 689 (78 percent) of the 833 full-time faculty members hold a doctoral or other terminal degree. The university also has approximately 764 additional adjunct faculty members. Overall, the total number of full-time faculty and noninstructional staff members has slightly decreased since 2018 with a ratio of FTE students to the total of full-time faculty and noninstructional staff members of 5.8 to 1 (fall 2022). Most university employees continue to be women, and further, they occupy positions in all job categories.
