RECEPTIONS AND EVENTS Colleges may host receptions and other special events related to commencement. Please contact your program office directly for more information. HPD SENIOR AWARDS DINNER AND DANCE The Health Professions Division (HPD) conducts senior awards dinners prior to its May and August commencement ceremonies. Each graduate may bring one guest at no charge. Tickets are nontransferable. Additional guests are always welcome to attend at a cost of $85 per person. Thursday, May 16, 2019 , at the Diplomat Beach Resort, 3555 South Ocean Drive, Hollywood, Florida 33319, for graduates in the College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences (Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology programs), College of Optometry, Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine, and College of Pharmacy. Reservations for the May dinner open March 2019 and are available through Friday, May 10, 2019. The August dinner will be Thursday, August 15, 2019 , at the Diplomat Beach Resort, 3555 South Ocean Drive, Hollywood, Florida 33319, for the graduate programs from the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences (except Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology) and the Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing. Reservations for the August dinner open June 2019 and are available through Friday, August 9, 2019. PLEASE NOTE: There is a $15 per vehicle valet parking charge or a $10 per vehicle self-parking charge at the Diplomat Beach Resort on both evenings . Both evening affairs feature a wine and cheese reception and sit-down dinner, followed by music and dancing. Business attire is suggested. Information concerning your RSVP and dining choices will be supplied with your online invitation and Commencement Participation Form . Online candidates who notify the commencement office of their intention to participate in either commencement or the HPD Senior Awards Dinner and Dance will have their student account charged the full HPD graduation fee. There are no refunds and this charge may not be realized until several days after commencement weekend. 7
