Dr. Haffizulla’s primary project “Caribbean Diaspora Healthy Nutrition Outreach Project”, supported by NSU’s Quality of Life Grant, laid a solid foundation regarding the immediate unmet health and education needs for the Caribbean Diaspora community. She harnessed solid community partnerships and build a strong reputation of trust within her fellow Caribbean Diaspora community. As a practicing community physician, trusted leader, innovator and member of the Caribbean Diaspora herself, she leads this initiative with creativity, all- inclusiveness and passion to serve and eliminate health disparities in this underserved community.
