As we move forward with the
reorganization of the IT department, we as a
team live in a moment of history where the
speed of change is so swift that we begin to
see the present only when it is about to
disappear. The ability to stay pertinent is the
key to our success. We have added value to the
organizations with our innovative approach to
service and products. Our goal is to help the
other entities in the organization stay to the
president’s 2020 vision while being successful
in their businesses. Our presence on campus
is a continuation of the journey to add value
to NSU’s overall business strategy. Thus being
said, we believe that our new name, Office of
Innovation and Information Technology, (OI²T),
will express those sentiments as we continue
to work with and for our students, faculty and
staff.
We have positioned ourselves as a leading
organization by assembling a team of special-
ists both technical and in management who I
consider the best in class in their respective
domains.
Alan Kays, American
computer scientist, remarked
that the best way to predict
the future is to invent it.
Let us go out there and invent, be innova-
tive in our technology output.
