COMPUTER SAFETY TIPS
Here are a few tips to help keep your kids safe
when on the computer at home or at school.
Never give out personal information such
as your name, home address, school name,
or telephone number in a chatroom or on a
bulletin board. Also, never send a picture of
yourself to someone you chat with on the
computer without you parents’ permission.
Never write to someone who has made you
feel uncomfortable or scared.
Do not meet someone or have them visit you
without your parents’ permission.
Tell your parents right away if you read
anything on the Internet that makes you feel
uncomfortable.
Remember that people online may not be
who they say they are. Someone who says
that “she” is a “12-year-old girl” could really
be an older man.

iShark
evolves
NSU has launched a new upgrade to
the iShark app. It includes two
additional features:
Stream RadioX directly
to your mobile device for
free, anywhere in the world!
Radio X 88.5 FM is NSU’s
own unique, noncommercial,
nonprofit radio station run by
students, for students. Playing
the best of today's music and
supporting local bands as
well. Radio X also provides
world, national, local, music,
and sports news, and keeps
our students and alumni up to
date with NSU news wherever
they are.
The I Am NSU Trivia App allows
you to test your knowledge
about NSU against the rest of
the iShark community. Answer
multiple choice questions to
see if you have what it takes to
make it to the top of the leader
boards. Winners in each game
session will be awarded prizes,
so keep checking back for your
next chance to win.
