Start your family's summer fun by signing up for the Alvin Sherman Library summer reading rewards program at public.library.nova.edu.  Simply click here or bring your family on Sunday, June 12 for the official summer kick-off party.  Remember, summer reading rewards is for every member of the family!  As usual, summer at the Library is packed with a myriad of activities for children, teens and adults.  Join us on June 11 for Brad Meltzer's national launch of his latest novel, The House of Secrets.  If you haven't heard him before,  we encourage you to come see him! You won't be dissappointed!  So, sit back and relax, check out our activities and our books!

Jazz in the Gallery: RZ Surfaces in Concert
Sunday, June 26, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

RZ Surfaces is a contemporary jazz quartet lead by jazz drummer/composer Rodolfo Zuniga. As a band leader and composer, his group “Surfaces” has recorded two albums, and maintains a busy schedule on the South Florida jazz scene, as well as in Central and South America. In 2005 the group was awarded the prestigious Carnegie Hall Residency under the direction of Dave Douglas in New York City. In that same year Rodolfo was chosen to be part of Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead Group, with which he toured the U.S and performed at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

Genealogical Society of Broward County Program Monthly Meeting

The Genealogical Society of Broward County (GSBC) meets monthly at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library on the first Sunday of every month. Meetings begin with an open lab from noon to 1 PM. The open lab is followed by a board meeting and program beginning at 1 PM. Meetings are open to the public.
