A.P.R.N.) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) CONCENTRATIONS • Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) • Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Admission to the B.S.N. to D.N.P. program requires 1. a bachelor’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university (The B.S.N. degree program must be accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing [ACEN], by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education [CCNE], or by the Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation [CNEA].) 2. an overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in the candidate’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) and 12 months of active, independent, clinical practice (not including position residencies or facility operations) OR an overall GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale in the can- didate’s B.S.N. and 24 months of active, independent, clinical practice (not including position residencies or facility operations) 3. a current, unrestricted, United States R.N. license in the state of Florida (The license must remain current throughout the program.) 4. two reference letters 5. a writing sample submitted directly to NursingCAS, using APA 7th edition formatting that includes the following information: • discussion of a problem or issue you see in practice today that needs to be addressed • discussion of your personal and professional goals 6. a curriculum vitae Applicants must reside within 150 miles from their program campus. For applicants in- terested in the AGACNP track, a current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificate is required.
