Veteran Student Organizations

Students United for Returning Veterans (SURV) is an organization founded at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Psychology in 2008. Out mission is to serve the needs of veterans returning from service and to be a foundation of support for their families.  We also serve as a liaison to NSU on behalf of all student-veterans and those students who continue serving our country. We conduct community outreach events, providing an organization where students can come together in a positive social setting. SURV creates awareness among professionals and students about veterans’ concerns. If or when needed, SURV intends to provide psychological services to veterans and their families. We hope to work with professors to conduct and disseminate research on related topics.

The Nova Student Veterans Association (NSVA) is primarily an undergraduate organization focused on helping new student-veterans adjust to college life. The NSVA participates in student orientation, helps connect students to existing university support systems, and works to make veterans more visible on campus.
