Marine Biology Visit Experiences

Studying marine biology at NSU Florida has many perks. As a student in sunny South Florida, you enjoy the best weather year round to pursue your love for the ocean and the outdoors. You'll have access to learn and play in both fresh water and salt water ecosystems, including the everglades; the intracoastal waterway; and, of course, the Atlantic Ocean, which is home to Florida's Coral Reef.

At NSU, marine biology students study and conduct research at our NSU Oceanographic Campus right off the ocean, and they earn academic diving certification at our aquatics center while they're at it. Because why be just another fish in another school when you can be a Shark.

We put together an ideal visit experience for any aspiring marine biologist. You can pick and choose which experiences below work best for you. Here's what we recommend if you want to see it all! Advanced registration is required.

Select Fridays
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Campus Visit

Campus Visits

Join us in person for a small group presentation with an admission counselor and a student-led campus tour to learn about the undergraduate admission process, dual admission into the Master of Science in Marine Science program, and life as a Shark with the NSU Edge.

On-campus visits also available on select Saturdays! And if you can't make it in person, we have virtual visits, too.

Academic Diving Program Tours

The Nova Southeastern University Academic Diving Program (NSUADP) is an award-winning university dive training program in the diving capital of the U.S. The NSUADP offers a full variety of courses from Freediver through Scuba Instructor. Courses are taught for both academic credit and non-academic recreational courses to students, faculty, staff and alumni. The NSUADP is a Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Educational Institution as well as a Divers Alert Network (DAN) Training Facility. The NSUADP trains up and hires Divemasters and Scuba Instructors to staff all diving courses as well as the NSU Scuba Club dives – making these one of the best student jobs on campus.

Come take a tour of the NSU Academic Diving Program and learn how a diving curriculum can grow your passion for underwater exploration, give you the foundational tools for marine sciences, and pave your way in professional development.

  • Future dates will be available soon.
