New Student Series: Summer Edition

Start your migration to Shark Nation with our New Student Series: Summer Edition! These virtual workshops are offered as an optional resource to inform you about important steps and allow you to ask your questions to representatives from each office in real time.


FINANCIAL AID & PAYMENT PLAN WORKSHOPS
Learn about the financial aid process from the experts at NSU Florida. Topics discussed include understanding your award package, eBill, and how to apply for a payment plan.

DIVE IN, FINS FIRST WORKSHOPS
Join our admissions team to talk through next steps including required documents (final transcripts, immunization forms), upcoming events (move-in, orientation, and Convocation), and hear from a panel of resources across campus (Dining, Campus Life, Student Employment, Mail Services, the CARE Team, and more).

 

SHARK ADVICE WORKSHOPS
Join us virtually for an interactive session and opportunity to talk parent-to-parent and student-to-student. Incoming parents can talk to current parents and incoming students can talk to current students about their experiences and expectations in a Q&A format. 

 

RESIDENTIAL LIFE WORKSHOP
Join the Office of Residential Life to learn about all things related to living on-campus. Please note, there are sessions for parents and sessions geared for students.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT
We want all Sharks to succeed at NSU and beyond. Join us to learn about the resources available to our students including Tutoring and Testing Services, the Writing & Communication Center, and learn about the First-Year Experience course (UNIV 1000).

 

ADMITTED INTERNATIONAL STUDENT WORKSHOPS
Calling all admitted international students! Join us to learn about next steps including required documents (I-20 and final transcripts), international student orientation, and more, prior to your arrival to campus.

UNIVERSITY HOUSING WORKSHOPS
Join University Housing staff to learn about the nonrefundable $500 housing deposit and housing contract process, on-campus housing options, requirements, rates, deadlines, the room selection process, and more.
