Dive In, Fins First

Congratulations on your decision to attend Nova Southeastern University! We cannot wait to welcome you to campus as an NSU Shark soon. To help navigate your journey to NSU this fall, please use this step-by-step summer guide as you prepare to dive in, fins first at NSU!

Newly admitted students, please make sure to confirm your enrollment, submit your FAFSA and activate your SharkLink (see Steps 1-3 below) before proceeding to Steps 4-7. If you have any questions please contact your admissions counselor.

Next Steps After Your Admission

The guide below will help you take the next steps in joining our NSU Shark Family.

The first step to becoming an NSU Shark is by confirming your enrollment and paying the non-refundable enrollment deposit (if applicable).  Please choose your student type below and follow the next steps.

New Freshman or Transfer Students at Fort Lauderdale/Davie Campus

Fort Lauderdale/Davie Campus students must submit a $200 nonrefundable enrollment deposit.

  • Pay Online with a credit card
  • Mail check to: Office of Undergraduate Admissions Nova Southeastern University Horvitz Administration Building 3301 College Avenue Fort Lauderdale-Davie, FL 33314 (Check should be made payable to Nova Southeastern University)

Adult Non-Traditional Online and Off-Campus Students (Non HPD Related Majors)

Students planning on attending the adult non-traditional programs either online or off-campus (non-HPD related majors) need to inform their admissions counselor of their intent to enroll.   No enrollment deposit is necessary at this time.

Health Profession Related Undergraduate Programs

Financial Aid is an important part of the admissions process. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit it online as soon as possible after October 1 to be considered for the maximum amount of financial aid.

Congratulations!  As an accepted NSU student, you now have an NSU Online Identity.  That includes:

  • Your SharkLink Login
  • Your NSU Email Account

SharkLink is NSU’s online portal.  With a single username and password, students can easily access many online university applications including their NSU email, calendars, online groups, course registration, financial aid and much more.

Housing Application

Living on campus is part of the full college experience. The members of the Office of Residential Life and Housing team are dedicated to enhancing your educational experience by providing and facilitating an enjoyable on-campus living experience. Besides being within walking distance to all of your classes, living on campus provides students access to a variety of academic, cultural, social and recreational programs.

New Student Orientation

You've been admitted, you've confirmed your enrollment (if applicable), and now you're ready to really start the transition to Nova Southeastern University as the newest member of our school of Sharks! At New Student Orientation you will have the opportunity to meet your academic advisor and fellow classmates, obtain your SharkCard ID, and learn more details about the campus and all of its activities.

Register for Classes

As a new student, you must schedule an appointment with your academic advisor. To do so, please contact the appropriate advising office below to make a phone or in-person appointment.

Office of Undergraduate Academic Advising: (All Non-Health Profession related majors)

Registration opens early April for all new freshmen and transfer students who have submitted their enrollment deposit.
