Student Affairs provides ongoing programming opportunities that are interesting and educational, as well as inclusive and family-friendly. Information about upcoming events at each campus will be shared via email.
NSU Nights Out are opportunities for NSU students and staff to learn, socialize, and network outside the classroom and into the community. NSU Nights Out are done throughout the semester and involve a night of fun and exciting entertainment which enables students to meet NSU students off campus at little to no cost. This program fosters new friendships and opportunities to become involved with your Student Advisory Board and the community. Past NSU Nights Out have included trips to the symphony, ball games, karaoke, theatre, restaurants, and charitable organizations.
Each Regional Campus holds a “Graduation Celebration” at the end of the academic year for graduating students. This event provides an opportunity for students to be recognized for their achievements and involve their families, peers, and colleagues who may not be able to attend the Commencement ceremony in South Florida.
Student Appreciation Days involve Student Affairs acknowledging the students at their sites and letting them know they are valued. During these events, important information and treats are given as a way to encourage students to continue doing a good job and succeed as NSU students.
Dine & Learns provide students with an opportunity to continue their education outside of the classroom. These programs vary in subject and cover specific topics of interest. They are designed to give students personal help. For example, topics can cover subjects such as, Grants and Scholarship Information, Online Learning Guides, How to Write an APA Style Paper, and many more. Dine and learns also provide attending students a light meal.
