Students are encouraged to audition for the singing group Shark Gold! Students should slate and perform a one-minute selection from a musical and a one-minute selection from a song by an influential artist from the 1950s-1980s. Immediately following this portion of the audition, you will meet with Shark Talent Coordinators and Shark Talent Representatives for a brief, interview to discuss your individual academic and artistic goals. The interview is an opportunity for the us to get to know you as well as an opportunity for you to address any questions you may have about the Shark Talent program. Please note that the audition is closed to outside observers.
Craftsmanship and clarity of information are important in the portfolio presentation. The portfolio should include 10-15 high quality photographs of works from your high school or college level foundation courses and electives. Work should demonstrate the ability to draw from observation, elements and principles of design and/or spatial organization, surface, and form. Works should also display an understanding of design, composition, and express unique and innovative visual approaches.

Dress Code: Dance attire with solid colors is preferred. Long hair should be secured away from the face. Please no dangling jewelry or watches.

Monologues and songs will be timed, so be aware of your time limits. No more than sixty seconds each.
