ALUMNI HIGHLIGHTS Shari Lynn Wellen, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist with the Congenital Heart practice at Maine Medical Partners in Scarborough, Maine. Her work focuses on themanagement of congenital heart disease, helping patients across the lifespan, from fetus to adulthood. Wellen’s expertise includes fetal echocardiography, transthoracic echocardiography, and transesophageal echocardiography. Wellen has written chapters for pediatric cardiology reference books, and her research has been published in several journals, including the American Journal of Cardiology , Congenital Heart Disease , and Cardiology in the Young . Scott Weinger is an actor, writer, and producer best known as the voice of the title character in Disney’s animated franchise Aladdin and his recurring role as Steve Hale on the TV show Full House (1987–1995) and its Netflix original sequel series Fuller House (which began airing in 2016). Fuller House has received several awards and was nominated for an Emmy award in the category of Outstanding Children’s Program. Weinger is currently focusing his attention on two parallel careers that keep himequally busy. As a TV writer and producer, he enjoys collaborating, writing, and rewriting with a talented team of writers; creating new ideas for episodes; crafting jokes and making thembetter; and figuring out how to make a story work. Throughout his career, Weinger has worked as a writer and actor on television programs recognized with People’s Choice Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and Kids Choice Awards.
