If you have contributions, achievements, or announcements that you would like to share, please contact Wynne Avellanet, director of Parent and Alumni Relations, at uschoolalumni@nova.edu Marla Somerstein Neufeld, Esq., was recently named partner at the law firm of Greenspoon Marder LLP. Neufeld is the founder of the firm’s assisted reproductive technology practice group and represents parties using a surrogate, egg, sperm, or embryo donor. Neufeld was personally part of the statistic that one of every six couples of childbearing age struggles with infertility, and she uses her own surrogacy experience in her fertility-related legal practice. Neufeld also recently coauthored a book published by the American Bar Association titled The ABA Guide to Assisted Reproduction: Techniques, Legal Issues, and Pathways to Success. 1999 Entrepreneurs Jordan Barrocas and Zachary Morrison gave an insightful keynote presentation and served as judges at the 4th-grade Shark Tank Jr. competition and the 12th-grade Entrepreneurial Trade Show, where students pitched their unique company or product ideas to “investors.” 2003 Sara (Cantor) Aye and her design firm, Greater Good Studio, were recently featured in Fast Company magazine for their great work initiating local projects that support a healthier environment for children. 1997 Matthew Pearl’s article ”Behind the Untouchables: The Making of the Memoir That Reclaimed a Prohibition-Era Legend” appeared in the December 2017 issue of Vanity Fair . 1993 Eduardo Hariton is completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology in Boston at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. 2006 (954) 262-4483 ALUMNI CLASS NOTES 25
