61  Cheating on examinations or classroom assignments  Lying  Forgery (see cheating section) or plagiarism  Acting in a manner so as to interfere with the instructional process  Being in unsupervised/unauthorized area or in authorized area at inappropriate time  Abusive or profane language between or among students  Smoking/chewing tobacco products or vapor devices/e-cigarettes  Violation of school bus regulations  Driving recklessly or too fast  Parking in restricted areas; parking violation  Parking decal (failure to display)  Skipping class  Use of obscene or profane language or gestures; vulgarity, and/or possession of lewd material  Buying or selling of any items between students  Other disorderly acts as determined at the school level The Administration may apply sanctions in cases of Level I offenses which may include, but are not limited to, the following:  Verbal reprimand and/or conference; parent conference  Withdrawal of privileges  Detention (before/after school)  In-school suspension  Out-of-school suspension  Other sanctions approved by the administration *** The administration has the discretion to reclassify a Level I offense(s) to a Level II offense(s) based on the severity, frequency and/or the totality of the circumstances. Level II A Level II offense is defined as those activities engaged in by student(s) which are directed against persons or property and the consequences of which tend to endanger the health or safety of themselves or others in the school. In some instances Level II offenses may overlap certain criminal offenses, justifying both administrative sanctions and court proceedings. Level II offenses may include, but are not limited to, the following:  Assault and/or battery of school personnel or student (verbal or physical)  Fighting  Fireworks (possession of/use)  Fund-raising without authorization  Bullying, cyber bullying, harassment, or intimidation; verbal threat  Vandalism (minor)  Stealing; use or possession of stolen property  Use or possession of laser pointers, fireworks, smoke bombs, pepper-style sprays, and other similar devices or materials
