MUSC 4900 Special Topics in Music (3 credits) An advanced course in a particular composer, composition, or musicological period. Specific focus to be announced. May be repeated once for credit if content changes and with written consent of division director. Prerequisites: one MUSC course and COMP 2000, 2010, or 2020 or COMP 2000H. MUSC 4950 Internship in Music (3 credits) Internship in Music requires a 15–20 hour per week field or work experience for 16 weeks (or more) in the student’s major area of study. Consult academic division for specific details and requirements. Prerequisite: cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, completion of 60 or more credit hours, and permission of division director. Repeatable to 6 credits. MUSC 4990 Independent Study in Music (3 credits) The student selects, and carries out independently, library and/or empirical research. Faculty supervision is provided for this class requires a private applied lesson fee. Prerequisite: MUSC 4402.
