Exhibit proficiency in various dance techniques and styles; 2. Identify and evaluate historical, cultural and stylistic forms of dance; 3. Demonstrate personal artistry in the creation of dance performances; 4. Explain the movement of the body in relation to dance. Dance Major Curriculum General Education Requirements (30 credits) Students are required to complete 30 credit hours as part of theGeneral Education Program. Music Major The music major blends traditional music education with the technological and professional requirements of today’s job market. The curriculum is compact, with areas of focus in vocal performance, piano performance, instrumental performance, and commercial and popular music. The music core builds fundamental skills in analytical thinking through theoretical study and develops written communication ability within broad historical contexts. The emphases focus on problem solving and adaptability in production and performance.
