POTENTIAL IS REALIZED HERE We are honored that you are interested in knowing more about the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education (FCE). Our college is named for Abraham S. Fischler, the second president of NSU (1970-1992), who joined NSU after receiving his doctorate from Columbia University. He brought a passion for education, innovation, and technology to the college of education. FCE now boasts a network of more than 60,000 alumni, 250 school superintendents, and 30 college and university presidents. At FCE, we are led by exceptional faculty members who are committed to student success. Our curriculumand our facultymembers offer diverse perspectives to shape students' minds and actions while increasing awareness in the pursuit of academic excellence, as they prepare for a 21st-century career. We are the building block of education—the place that shapes lives. By 2020, NSU’s Fischler College of Education will be recognized throughout the United States and globally for its preparation of 21st-century ready educators, leaders, and professionals through innovative on-site, online, and blended programs leading to bachelor, masters, specialist, and doctoral degrees.
