2 | REALIZING POTENTIAL Celebration | FACULTY AND STAFF MEMBERS — Campaign Giving Lead gifts by Don Taft and H. Wayne Huizenga inspire NSU leadership to launch Realizing Potential , the first comprehensive, philanthropic campaign in university history. NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale becomes part of NSU’s expanded creative campus. NSU opens the Institute for Neuro- Immune Medicine, the only facility of its kind in the nation. Construction begins on NSU’s Center for Collaborative Research. NSU hosts the grand opening of the Puerto Rico Regional Campus in San Juan. NSU establishes the Center of Excellence for Coral Reef Ecosystems Research. HCA East Florida opens an emergency room on NSU’s Fort Lauderdale/Davie Campus. It will become the cornerstone of a future medical complex. NSU celebrates the Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center Building dedication. NSU names Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography. NSU opens a Veterans Resource Center for current and former military members. NSU’s College of Dental Medicine dedicates Henry Schein Special Needs Clinical Suite. NSU dedicates Panza Maurer Law Library. NSU creates three new colleges—College of Allopathic Medicine, College of Engineering and Computing, and Farquhar Honors College. NSU welcomes George L.
