OUR PROGRAMS* Through community partnerships and NSU support, the Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center is able to provide art and historical exhibits, workshops, performers and speakers, nationally recognized children's programming, and more. FOR STUDENTS AND FACULTY MEMBERS • Gear Up! —academic workshops for faculty members that cover topics such as copyright, grant writing, publishing, and statistics • Research writing series —student-centered workshops on crafting a thesis proposal, writing research projects, formatting citations, and more • Personalized instruction sessions —covering effective research techniques • Educational programs and exhibitions • Face-to-face instruction —for students around the world • Outreach —for students on campus, wherever they gather • Specialized research sessions —for NSU athletes and other student groups FOR CHILDREN • Wags and Tales —Read to a dog at the library. • Builders Club —Build and create with the library’s LEGO ® blocks. • Sharkey’s Storytime —Enjoy books, songs, and activities that enhance early literacy skills.
