In addition, students should anticipate spending approximately $6,000 for books and equipment during the 27-month program. The primary financial responsibility for a student’s education rests with the student and his or her family. Economic circum- stances for some families may make it necessary for the student to obtain assistance from other sources. The purpose of student financial assis- tance at NSU is to help as many qualified students as possible to complete their health professions education. Various loans, scholarships, and grants are avail- able to qualified students to help ease the high cost of a health professions educa- tion.
