November, 2015, Inaugural issue of OCCUPATION: A Medium of Inquiry for Students, Faculty & Oth- er Practitioners Advocating for Health through Occupational Studies, the journal of CHAOS, the Com- munity and Health Advocacy through Occupational Studies; Betsy Beltran joins the program as Adminis- trative Assistant. March, 2016: NSUWorks, a service provided by the Nova Southeastern University Libraries serving as a digital repository for selected university research, scholarly and creative intellectual products. It started to be the publisher for OCCUPATION: A Medium of Inquiry for Students, Faculty & Other Practitioners Advocating for Health through Occupational Studies. Laurene Bowe takes over as Fieldwork Support Coordinator. April, 2016: During the 2016 Student Achievement Lifetime Awards, affectionately called STUEYS, sev- eral nominations came the Tampa OTD direction – Awards: Jordan Powers, Regional Campus Student of the Year; Nominees: Dr. Carrasco, Administrator of the Year; Karla M. Quiñones, Staff Person of the Year, Dr. Whaley, Professor of the Year. May, 2016: Bryce Carsone joins 20 other students selected for the first cohort of AOTA’s Summer Insti- tute for Future Scientists in Occupational Therapy. Cheryl Mae Granada, Jonathan Pitts, and Jordan Pow- ers inaugurate the FOTA Student Resources webpage. August, 2016: Class of 2016 participated in their commencement ceremonies at the Don Taft Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL; during the senior awards dinner, Kimberly Bartels receives the Dean’s Award, and Megan Dadez the Chancellor’s Award. The graduating class selected Dr. McCarthy to receive the Golden Apple Award. By virtue of Dr. Longpré’s completion of her PhD degree, her appointment includes teaching her courses without supervision. This event also marked the transition to serving as Di- rector of Doctoral Transformation, while retaining the Community Relations responsibility. Dr. Decker transitioned into serving as Director of Clinical Education and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. November, 2016: Launch the final piece of the Fall Ceremonies, recognizing all cohorts – Year II stu- dents will celebrate their milestone in their scholarly journey through their Doctoral Research Affirmation Ceremony.
