November, 2012: First White Coat Ceremony celebrated. September, 2013: Dr. Dennis P. McCarthy started as OTD faculty and Director of Student Affairs and Marketing; Dr. Thomas P. Arnold joined as Basic Science faculty. July, 2013: Lauren Kellner took over as Fieldwork Support Coordinator. November 2013, Gustavo A. Reinoso joined the faculty as faculty and Director of Technology. January, 2013: Mock Accreditation site preparation and visit by Dr. Letha Mosley, immediately past ACOTE Chair. Mock experience of onsite preparation and visit for ACOTE by staff, faculty and main campus administration; confirmation of strengths and identification of improvements in self-study re- port. February 2013: Submission of self-study for institutional review results in final document. April, 2013: Electronic self-study submission to ACOTE by Drs. Carrasco, Whaley, and Professor Longpré. Upon submission, ACOTE alerted Drs. Wilson and George Hanbury to access the e- submission site and affix their electronic signatures. January, 2014: Dr. Kurt Hubbard and Professor Saritza Guzman-Sardina started as Adjunct Professors; Erica Burke is hired as Fieldwork Support Coordinator. March, 2014: Mirelys Gomez, nee Muñoz was promoted from Federal Work Study student to Adminis- trative Assistant. April, 2014: ACOTE issued full accreditation status for the Entry-Level Doctor of Occupational Thera- py degree at Nova Southeastern University – Tampa for seven years. September, 2014: Dr. Decker joined the program as Adjunct faculty. November, 2014: Dr. Mariana D’Amico entered the scene as faculty and Director of Professional Educa- tion. First Fall Ceremony celebrating multiple student milestones: White Coat, Doctoral Pinning, Pi Theta Epsilon, and Legacy Project’s Passing the Torch ceremonies. During the ceremony, the OTD pro- gram also launched its virtual community, called CHAOS, the Community and Health Advocacy through Occupational Studies. April, 2015: Dr. Rzepkowski joined Basic Science faculty. March, 2015: University-wide reorganization mandated that all departments will have only one Chair, therefore, like other departments with multiple Chairs, the two occupational therapy locations (Fort Lauderdale and Tampa) blended into one department with Dr. Dunbar serving as Chair for both loca- tions; Dr. Carrasco and Dr. Wendy Stav continued to direct the Tampa and Fort Lauderdale locations re- spectively. Dr. Thomas J. Decker converted from adjunct to core faculty member with a plan to transition as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, and working with Professor Longpré who is charged administrative- ly with doctoral residency and community relations. August, 2015: Inaugural Class of 2015 joined other graduating classes for their commencement ceremo- nies at the Don Taft Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. During the senior awards dinner, Kristin McMillen received the Dean’s, and Ricardo Demetrius the Chancellor’s Award. Dr. Davenport received the Golden Apple Award from the graduating class.
