Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) Page 4 OTD News, Volume VI, Issue 1 By: Melissa Harden, OTD-S Not only do the members of the Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) go above and beyond in order to represent the occupational therapy profession and Nova Southeastern University’s OTD program, but SOTA goes over and beyond for its members as well. This year SOTA provided money to help members attend the Florida Occupational Therapy Association (FOTA) conference in Orlando, which is huge because some members may have not been able to go if it were not for SOTA’s contribution. For the community, members of SOTA volunteered at The Alzheimer’s Association's “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” on October 31 st here in Tampa. We are also doing a can food drive for the holidays. If you are an OTD student at the Nova Southeastern University-Tampa campus and not currently a member of SOTA but would like to join, please feel free to attend the next meeting will be on Thursday January 7, 2016 at 1pm. Dues are $15 per semester or $25 per year.
