Student Occupational Therapy Association Page 9 OTDNews, Volume V, Issue 3 The Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) at the Nova Southeastern University– Tampa campus recently elected new officers to serve for the 2015-2016 term: President: Melissa Harden Vice-President: Emilie Parker Secretary: Lauren Minson Treasurer: Danielle Pastirko Public Relations Chairperson: Andrea Stallard SGA Senator: Jonathan Pitts AOTA Delegate: Jordan Powers *alternate: Blakeney Patterson Class Representatives: Kimberly Yetman (2016) Lydia Fritzsche (2017) Lauren Treadway (2018) Members of SOTA go above and beyond in order to represent the OT profession and NSU’s OTD program in a positive manner. Students who are in SOTA get the privilege of receiving lunches during institutes, invitations to social events, and funding to attend state and national conferences. Students also volunteer at local animal shelters, Trinity Café, and many other reward- ing community service locations. If you are not currently a member of SOTA but would like to join, please feel free to attend the next meeting on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 1pm. Dues are $15 per semester or $25 per year.
