McCarthy, PhD, OTR/L There were 14 volunteers from the Class of 2018 that completed the CarFit Technician Training and participated in the event along with faculty members Dr. McCarthy and Dr.. D’Amico. Again, the CarFit event was held in conjunction with USF’s Byrd Alzheimer Center on September 23, which was also Senior Falls Prevention Day. We “CarFitted” 10 drivers and their cars. We will be doing another training and event on November 5th and 6th, again with the Byrd Center, on Memory Screening Day. We were interviewed by WUSF and were informed that the piece would be broadcasted in the near future on “University Beat”.
