Pi Theta White Coats Page 7 OTDNews, Volume V, Issue 3 By: Gustavo Reinoso, PhD, OTR/L Dr. Carrasco and Dr. Reinoso participated in a research project assessing a sample of chil- dren with mental health diagnoses using the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT) in Northern Spain. The project intended to understand and clarify children’s clinical profiles as they relate to sensory processing, a specialty area within occupational therapy. This interprofes- sional collaboration project involved the Goiztiar Atentzio Unitatea, Haur-Gazteen Psikiatria Taldea, a menta; health Unit of the Basque Country in San Sebastian, Spain and the Entry- Level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program at the Tampa Regional Campus. The project involved different disciplines such as psychiatry, nursing, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and psychology.
