Pi Theta White Coats Page 5 OTDNews, Volume V, Issue 3 Alpha Eta, named after the Greek letters to the first letters of Allied Health, is a national hon- or society for allied health professionals. The soci- ety honors those who have excelled in their field. This recognition is extended to students, alumni, and faculty members. Promoting scholarship and fellowship among its members, Alpha Eta is com- mitted to academic excellence, community ser- vice, and leadership. Alpha Eta has a chapter at Nova Southeastern University named Nu Sigma Upsilon. Congratulations to Kristin McMillen (student inductee), Dr. Mariana D’Amico (transfer of mem- bership), and Professor Sheila Longpre’ (faculty in- ductee) Each were recognized for their scholarly contributions, professional development, and com- passion toward the occupational therapy communi- ty.
