CAPE AWARDS Page 4 OTDNews, Volume V, Issue 3 CAPE, Center for Academic and Professional Excellence, is made up of four different academies: Teaching and Learning, Leadership and Management, Research, and Career Enrich- ment. CAPE’s mission is to support our faculty and students through leadership, advising, and research. In addition, the CAPE encourages professional growth and academic excellence. Upon successful completion of the Academy, each graduate becomes a life-long member of that par- ticular academy. We would like to congratulate Dr. Davenport, Dr. Reinoso, and Dr. McCarthy on receiving the CAPE Award. They successfully completed an academy at the Center for Academic and Professional Excellence. They are committed to academic excellence, leadership, scholarship, and community service. We look forward to their significant contributions to the program and the occupational therapy community.
