OTD News Volume 5, Issue 3

Once a year, the NSU family come together to celebrate all of the various degrees that its students have worked hard for years to earn. This is not only a time of celebration but al- so a time of reflection on how far students have come in their academic journey. Congratulations to the OTD’s 1st graduating class, Class of 2015. The Faculty and Staff are so proud to have been apart of this milestone in their academic career. We have watched them grow tremendously through leadership, scholar- ship, and academic excellence. Class of 2015 will be forever known for their creation of the Legacy Project and the journal, OCCUPATION: A Medium of Inquiry for Students, Faculty and Other Practitioners Advocating for Health through Occupational Studies. Through these contributions, they were able to disciplined themselves through research, community relations, and the diverse forces that shape occu- pational science, as well as the effect of occupation on one’s health and well-being. Class of 2015 have definitely left a legacy here at NSU- Tampa OTD. They will return on December 13, 2015 to showcase their research findings during the OTD Program’s 1 st Annual Research Colloquium after completing their Doc- toral Residency. Thank you Class of 2015 for paving the way for future NSU OTD cohorts.
