COLLEGE OF OPTOMETRY • 7 Resident Awarded CooperVision Travel Fellowship Stacy Zubkousky, O.D., an NSUCO optometric resident, was awarded the CooperVision Cornea, Contact Lenses, and Refractive Technologies Resident Travel Fellowship to attend the American Academy of Optometry meeting held October 7–10, 2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Zubkousky received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida in 2010 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2015. Her area of specialty as an NSUCO optometric resident is primary care with cornea and contact lenses. u Three Residents Awarded Allergan Travel Fellowships Three NSUCO optometric residents—Casey Hamm, O.D.; Tamara Mendez Romero, O.D.; and Leticia Rousso, O.D.—were awarded Allergan Eye Care travel fellowship grants to attend the American Academy of Optometry meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, on October 7–10, 2015. The academy’s Residents Day Committee eval- uated the applicants by assessing their curriculum vitae, National Board of Examiners in Optometry scores, and fellowship essays. Hamm (top) received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2011 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri—St. Louis College of Optometry in 2015. Her area of specialty as an NSUCO optometric resident is primary care with an emphasis on ocular disease. Romero (center) received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in 2009 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2015. Her area of specialty as an NSUCO optometric resident is primary care with an emphasis on pediatrics and binocular vision. Rousso (bottom) received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in 2011 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from NSUCO in 2015. Her area of specialty as an NSUCO optometric resident is primary care with an emphasis on ocular disease. u
