OPT Visionary - Fall 2016

In January, the college held its annual Residents Day at NSU’s Fort Lauderdale/Davie Campus. During the event, 35 outstanding optometric residents, representing 10 Florida programs affiliated with NSUCO, were showcased. The participating residents presented an overview of the interesting and challenging cases they encountered during their residency training in the form of rapid-fire grand rounds sessions. Topics covered included a range of ocular conditions, such as binocular vision, anterior segment disease, posterior segment disease, congenital conditions, and neuro- ophthalmic disease. NSUCO students also had an opportunity to interact with the residents and learn more about residency training and the opportunities it provides. Save the date for the next Residents Day, which will be held January 28–29, 2017.
