COLLEGE OF OPTOMETRY • 39 Michelle Levin , O.D., FAAO (’11), and Adam Stelzer , O.D., FAAO (’07), who serve as Florida Optometric Association (FOA) trustees, visited NSU’s College of Optometry in January to com- memorate the association’s annual FOA Day. Tad Kasonovich, O.D., FAAO, who serves as FOA vice president, also attended. During their visit, Levin and Stelzer shared their insights and enthusiasm for the optometric profession in Florida. Meagan Lincoln , O.D. (’16), was featured in the article, “First Full-Time Optometrist Sets Up Shop in Kotzebue,” in the Arctic Sounder . Bryan M. Rogoff , O.D., M.B.A., CPHM (’99), and Dean Gogerdchi , O.D. (’12), were installed as president and second vice president, respec- tively, of the Maryland Optometric Association Board of Directors. Nathan Schramm , O.D., CNS, FSLS (’08), is one of 50 fellowship-trained scleral lens fitters in the world and has earned the title of Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society (FSLS). Scleral lenses are like a prosthetic cornea and can restore sight to patients who cannot be helped with glasses or traditional contact lenses. Schramm readily shares his knowledge with other physicians and created a Facebook group to educate others and share cases. Vicky Wong , O.D. (’12), visited NSU’s College of Optometry to educate students on the Maryland Optometric Association’s mission and goals.
