18 • NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY Cycle for Sight Focuses Attention on Visual Impairme nt The college’s American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) chapter did an excellent job of bringing the NSU community together by participating in the World Sight Day Challenge for 2015—Cycle for Sight. World Sight Day is an annual awareness event held on the second Thursday of October to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment. The event is coordinated by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness as part of the VISION 2020 Global Initiative.
