In this role, Deasy will be responsible for executing strategic growth initiatives of the multispecialty physician employed group of more than 130 physicians who provide services throughout Broward County. Madison Kuhns, B.S.N., R.N. (’23), accepted a position in the hematology-oncology unit at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. Additionally, she became certified as a passenger safety technician who is able to discharge patients safely with proper education on car seats. Ivonne Marriott, PMHNP-BC (’23), accepted a position with Greenbrook NeuroStar Trans- cranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) in Fort Lauderdale as a TMS/Spravato provider, along with medication management across the lifespan. Alexander Ross, B.S.N., R.N. (’24), is working in the AdventHealth Orlando Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit. Sarah Salain, B.S.N., R.N. (’19), welcomed her daughter Renleigh into the world on January 17, 2025. Salain and her husband Max are excited to embark on this new journey of parenthood. CLASS NOTES Logan Peretz, B.A. (’14), joined Constellation Brands as global strategy manager, where he is responsible for developing, driving, and implementing worldwide growth strategy for the company’s wine and spirits division. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, Economics, and Entrepreneurship from Northwestern University with honors, he launched his career at Deloitte as a strategy con- sultant in its mergers and acquisitions practice. He then joined GoHealth, a health-tech firm, in the role of executive strategy manager. Jeffrey Schermer (’11), a senior creator at the GUT marketing and advertising company, had previously been a part of the creative team at Walt Disney World constructing innovative solutions and forming new ways to promote and stimulate Disney parks and resorts. Working alongside his art direction partner, he is responsible for brainstorming new ways to solve problems and presenting these ideas to leaders of huge partner companies such as Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilm. Dara Shulman (’04), who has worked with children from birth through age five in various capacities for nearly 20 years, made a career change in 2020 to serve families as a postpartum doula. She is certified through DONA International and recently completed her certification as a lactation counselor through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. She also established her own business called New Beginnings with Dara in 2024. Grant Siegel (’21), is a redshirt junior at the University of Central Florida, where he plays the position of pitcher for the Knights. Brooke Steinberg (’14), was promoted to features and entertainment reporter at the New York Post, where she covers lifestyle and entertainment news. She first joined the paper in 2019 as a digital content producer. Steinberg earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Florida in 2018. Sarah Trister (’02), accepted a position as director on the global consulting firm FGS Global’s International Affairs Team in Washington, D.C. Prior to her new role, she served as a senior foreign policy adviser for the U.S. Senate. Laura (Shafron) Weinberg (’91), was reelected mayor of the City of Golden, Colorado. Scott Weinger (’93), serves as cowriter of the new TV series Paradise—a conspiracy thriller starring Sterling K. Brown about a Secret Service agent and the security detail for the U.S. President. Mike White (’13), is the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. Professionally, he has also played with the Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins. He played his first two years of college football at South Florida and his last two at Western Kentucky. 91
