Mitchell Bourne, M.D. (’22), who is about to complete his internal medicine residency training, is the chief resident at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Brianna Cocuzzo, M.D. (’22), who is about to complete her pediatrics residency training, will be doing a neonatal ICU-perinatal medicine fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Steven Hartman, M.D. (’22), who is about to complete his internal medicine residency training, will be doing a car- diology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. Becky Li, M.D. (’22), who is about to complete her pediatrics residency training, will be doing a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Samantha Marazita, M.D. (’22), is in the midst of completing her internal medicine residency. Evan McElroy, M.D. (’22), who is about to complete his emergency medicine residency training, is the chief resident at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Joel Mintz, M.D. (’22), who is about to complete his internal medicine residency training, is the chief resident at the University of Miami. CLASS NOTES 1995 Based on its fall 1995 enrollment, NSU became the largest independent university in Florida. 1996 The board of trustees approved the addition of the College of Dental Medicine. Planning began to move the Fischler Center for the Advancement of Education to university facilities in North Miami Beach. 1997 Southeastern University of the Health Sciences moved from facilities in North Miami Beach to new facilities on the Fort Lauderdale/Davie Campus, while the Fischler Center for the Advancement of Education relocated from leased facilities in Davie to university-owned facilities in North Miami Beach. 1998 The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Management Council elected NSU to provisional membership effective September 1, 1998. 1999 Construction began on the Fort Lauderdale/ Davie Campus for the new Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology 82
