10 | Nova Southeastern University R.N. TO B.S.N. Nurses prepared by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) are highly sought after by health care employers who recognize that patient acuity now necessitates a higher level of nursing education. The interdisciplinary B.S.N. curriculum focuses on current health care issues and delivery and prepares the student to assume a leadership role in a variety of settings. Students can obtain a B.S.N. in different ways. Registered nurses (R.N.s) with associate’s degrees or diplomas may obtain a B.S.N. through our online track or through the blended on-site tracks offered at the Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Miami-Kendall, and Orlando sites. For further information, call the R.N. to B.S.N. program director at (954) 262-1101 or 877-640-0218. Registered nurses receive 61 prior learning credits for their licensure. Upon evaluation of transcripts, additional transfer credits for general education courses completed at a college or university may be awarded. The R.N. to B.S.N. program may be completed in 16 months (four semesters), depending on the number of credits the student chooses to complete each term.
